I wanted to share with you some excerpts from an emergency debate in the House of Commons concerning the situation in Egypt. As Prime Minister Harper said, it is our governments hope that while the situation will develop toward a democratic form of government that fully reflects the aspirations of the Egyptian people, that it will do so while protecting the rights of minority communities.
